Wetland Delineation

Photo-Interpretative Analysis: A preliminary evaluation tool usually deployed on large acreage. This type of delineation involves analysis of aerial photography, topographic maps, soil surveys, and other imagery to determine the likely presence and approximate extent of wetland on a property. These preliminary findings can be evaluated by cursory site inspection. The product of a photo-interpretative analysis is usually a marked aerial photograph or sketch depicting evaluation, a photo-interpretative analysis is the most general form of wetland delineation.

Wetland Flagging: Wetlands are regulated by two main agencies. These two agencies are the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (COE). The State of Florida and the federal COE have different criteria in the definition of wetlands. The FDEP utilizes guidance found in Rule 63.340 U.S. State and federal agencies Edmisten & Associates has been delineating wetlands since 1970. Our clients include Municipalities, State agencies, Federal Agencies, Developers, and individual homeowners.
